George Tounas

George Tounas is an award-winning actor and filmmaker, best known for City Rush 4 (2025) with Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Eric Roberts, Achilles Returns (2026), Reloaded 3 (2025), Dr. Jason II: Lights & Shadows (2024), Reloaded 2 (2024), City Rush 3 (2023), Dr. Jason (2022) and Reloaded (2021). All these movies are licensed by major international distributors like Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, Plex, Fawesome, and many more. He has appeared in numerous films, TV series, and commercials produced by others.

George attended the New York Film Academy in New York City, where he completed a four-week full-time actor training program and received a diploma in 2005. In 2009 he completed a two-month full-time professional actor training program at the TVI Actors Studio, also located in New York City. During this time, he resided in the Upper West Side of Manhattan for four months. In 2010 George briefly visited Los Angeles and participated in a one-day intensive master class at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Hollywood.

In fact George graduated from the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in Communication Design in 2004 with a Diplom, which is equivalent to a Master of Fine Arts degree, and excellent grades. His art portfolio was rated the best and after an additional successful on-site exam, he was accepted in 1998. Additionally he pursued studies at the TEI of Athens in Greece. During his high school graduation (Abitur) in 1997, he received the Art Prize for being the top graduate in Visual Arts.

After his studies, George got employed as an art director, media designer, front-end and software developer, and has worked and is still working for various companies and agencies, mostly full-time for over 20 years since 2004. He also received design awards.

George is Greek and was born and grew up in Germany. His official name is Georgios Tounas. He more often uses the more international English version of his first name. George holds dual citizenship in Greece and Germany. He is multilingual and fluent in English, Greek and German, and has a working knowledge of French. In 2010/11 he voluntarily served as a soldier in the Greek Army.

George maintains a strong athletic physique and excels in various sports. Despite starting very late, at the age of 21, he became one of the top long jumpers in Greece and Germany, achieving jumps well over 7 meters. In training and in some invalid attempts, he even reached around 8 meters. He reached the finals of both the Greek Athletics Championships and the Baden-Württemberg Athletics Championships, placing in the top 10 multiple times. George was also Reginal Champion in long jump 2002, District Champion in combined events 2002, Regional Champion in javelin throw 2000, District Champion in long jump 2000 and District 2nd Place in high jump 2000. He stopped competing a few years later due to the demands of his professional career, but never officially retired and may return to competition in the Masters category, aiming for the long jump M50 world record. The clubs he competed for were Panellinios Athens, MTV Stuttgart, and MTG Mannheim.

George also began his career as a model, appearing on runways in the late 1990s. George continues to be occasionally booked for modeling assignments.

He has been married since 2012 and has two children.
